Baggy Question

"Do you have to put your stuff in ziplocs or can you put them in plastic grocery bags or department store bags with handles? Also, thank you so much for your blog. It provides really useful information. "

I'm pretty sure that you have to put it in a "clear plastic bag" that is see-thru (i.e. ziplop bags). You should probably read your admissions tickets, but from my recollection, you need the ziplog bags that are see-thru. Anything else, and you probably need to leave it outside. However, I did notice they sold the 2-3 feet bags, so you could pack a lot in them.

I read my admissions ticket 3 times looking for this information after everyone started buying ziploc baggies. I then gave it to my husband (who took the bar 3 years ago) to see if he could find any information in the admission ticket regarding this information. Neither of us could find ANY reference to clear bags. Where are people finding this instruction?

It's not on the ticket, it's on the 4 page (11x17 folded paper) instructions that came with the ticket.

Actually it doesn't explicitly say only clear plastic ziploc bags. But it says *only* certain items may be brought in, meaning all other stuff excluded. Plus it says small plastic bags will be provided for carrying prescriptions, etc. Plus my school and others have been instructing us to bring only clear plastic ziploc bags, so they must know something. I wouldn't take any chances. You don't need the extra stress of having to leave your bag out in the hall or scramble to juggle all your pens, etc.

Last minute question about the timer. I seem to have trouble finding small timer without the alarm function. Will it ok to show them that I have disable the alarm function?

Thanks.

Also can I wear slipper during the exam?

What about a mouse for the laptop? That's permitted right?

according to the laptop instructions on the calbar.gov site you can bring in a mouse and a keyboard and they can be wireless.

the information with the ticket says: "Timing devices that are programmable and/or that make noise, including clocks that beep, and distrub other applicants are not permitted and will be confiscated by the proctors." Additionally this is in BOLD letters: "They cannot have a digital display, they must be absolutely silent, and are not to exceed the..."
